NOIDA: Noida police along with the Noida Authority have finally identified land for the Phase I and Sector 142 police stations.
While the Phase I police station will come up in Sector 5 near the spare parts and furniture market, land for sector 142 police station has been earmarked in Sector 143 along the FNG Expressway.
Land for six other police stations across the district including three in Yamuna Authority area has already been allotted by the respective authorities.
According to police, a total of one acre land has been identified for the Phase I police station while a total of 4,300 square meter of land has been identified for the Sector 142 police station.
“The land identified for the police stations will soon be allotted by the authority. A nod for both the police stations has been given by the state government,” a statement for the Noida police said.
Four other police stations proposed at the Sector 63, Okhla Barrage, Sector 115 has already been allocated, additional commissioner of police (headquarters) Pushpanjali told TOI.
In Sector-106, land allotment is proposed to take place in coming days, it said.
Under the Yamuna Expressway area, where four police stations are proposed to come up, land has already been allocated for police stations at Sector 18/6 D, Sector-29 and Sector-25 A. For the Dayanatpur police station and the Ranhera police chowki, earmarking of the land is pending with the Yamuna Authority.
Land has also been allocated for the construction of the Jhuppa police chowki in Greater Noida.
