NOIDA: The master plan for New Noida or Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR), the ambitious satellite city which will be set up over 20,000 hectares by combining 80 villages — 20 in Gautam Budh Nagar and 60 in Bulandshahr, is in its final stages.
A draft of the proposed project, which is set to be developed in four phases, is set to be tabled before the Noida Authority in its next board meet, slated to be held later this month or early April. Once cleared, it will be forwarded to the state government for its approval.

“As the master plan is nearing its completion, it is proposed to be presented in the next board meeting, which could be held in the next couple of weeks,” a senior official said. Earlier, the board meeting was scheduled to be held on March 28, but it could be deferred by a week with the new government under CM-designate Yogi Adityanath set to take oath on Friday.
Recently, the School of Planning and Architecture, which is working on the plan, had given a presentation on the draft plan to the Noida Authority following which some amendments were suggested.
According to Noida officials, a Special Economic Zone will be developed under the project to attract industrial units, industrial estates, agro and food processing zones, skill development centres, knowledge hubs, logistics hubs and integrated townships.
The SAP, officials said, will prepare the master plan using a geographical information system that will help investors, local and from abroad, to obtain information on all the zones and sectors at the click of a mouse.
The GIS-based map, officials added, will have complete information on water pipelines, sewer lines, green belts, parks, roads and plots. It will also help investors to access information such as if there was any other allottee for a particular plot or if all dues had been cleared.
To promote investment, efforts were also being made to provide state-of-the-art connectivity to the region and will be connected with the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
The Delhi-Mumbai and Amritsar to Kolkata rail corridor will have a major halt here. This will give a big benefit to the business of Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR).
